9:35 pm - Dilemma - any advice appreciated
I hate making important decisions! I have about a day and a half to decide if I want to stay in my current flat or to move out at the end of the month.

For people who haven't seen my flat....
Pros: it's very modern, brand new kitchen all new appliances, dishwasher, leather sofas not very big but okay for myself and Paul, huge balcony. Good transport links (~5 mins to tube), lots of shops nearby.

Cons: it's in Kilburn. On the junctions of 2 extremely busy main roads with police cars and ambulances going past at all hours. I don't feel particularly safe there or really like the people and I genuinely believe there is a crack den across the road from me, hehe. None of the pubs/restaurants are that amazing.

We've just viewed a flat in Fulham which is a possibility but I'm REALLY having trouble deciding...

Pros: It's in Fulham, on a really nice street with lots of parks nearby (Bishop's Park from The Omen is just down the road OMG! Fulham Palace Gardens and a huge pretty cemetery across the road, for the goth in me :-D) From what I've seen of Fulham so far (and I've explored a fair bit) I LOVE the area. It reminds of all the things I miss about Edinburgh. I actually feel safe there.
About a 10 min walk to Hammersmith and also to Fulham Broadway in the other direction so lots of bars/shops/restaurants fairly close by. Tube is here too. Edit: Harry Potter (Dan Radcliffe) lives in Fulham! His flat will be a wee bit nicer than this one I suspect....

There's a bus that goes straight to my work that stops at the bottom of my road.

The flat is a lot bigger than our current flat Room for a small table in the kitchen. The living room has a large dining table and a 3 piece suite big bay windows and still feels spacious. Bedroom's about the same size, the bathroom is bigger.

It's 10 quid less a week than we are currently paying.

Now, the CONS: It is not as nice as our current flat. While much more spacious, it is certainly not as modern. The kitchen appliances look fairly new but there is no dishwasher and it's no where near as shiny as my kitchen (I know I'm quite the fussy stuck up beeeatch). I suppose if we took it we would buy a dishwasher. There's only a washing machine not a washing machine/tumble dryer (I'm considering asking if the landlord would provide one). It feels a lot more "old lady" than the last two flats I've lived in. I'm fairly certain I could fix this with some nice pictures Ikea trips - give it some "Emma Magic" etc. Logically I should be happy in this flat but I know I can be a bit of a spoiled brat and don't want to move into somewhere I'm going to end up whining about.

What should I do??!!

I suppose the question can be simplified to:
Nice flat not so nice area OR Nice area not so nice flat.

Any views would be much appreciated, even if you don't know London at all.

I went to see Rocky Horror last night. It was really good! Not that many people there were dressed up but I was to drunk too really notice hehe. I decided to go as Frank in the end Lyn and Rach were Magenta and Columbia so we had the full set. costumes. Went out clubbing in our costumes afterwards which was a total laugh. I'm still actually hungover!

7:04 pm - In the ghetto...
I sometimes make jokes about all there being a lot of crack dens in Kilburn. I have just discovered that I live directly opposite one! Or at least that's the only reason I think for 20 odd chavs in hoodies going into a boarded up shop at 1am. I really need to move house! The weather's been awesome today, I've been out sunbathing all day in an attempt to lose my Scottish suntan, don't think it's worked get though.

7:06 pm - Bored, bored, bored!
I really do need to make some more friends in London. The people at my work are nice but it'd be good to know some people outside work! Take tonight for example, I'm sat in the flat alone while Paul's at work playing computer games - partay! It's not even that I really went out *that* much when I lived in Edinburgh but I could always call someone if I was bored. Sigh... I should join a club or something... Or possibly build some robot friends.

I'm not a goff I tell you!

Very Goth
You scored 63!

You're a Goth. Whether you admit it freely or not there is no denying
it. You love the stuff and can't get enough. You decorate your living
space in a way that is part morbid part chaotic.I'm sure your music is
mostly Goth/Industrial/Darkwave. Wherever you go you're probably
dressed mostly in black. Not only do you know who Switchblade Symphony
is, you own every CD and EP they ever put out. Your dream profession is
definatly something that benifits goths-Tattoo artist, goth DJ,
freelance Gothic artist, Gothy comic creator ect.ect.ect...

6:35 pm - No weird red, naked people for me this April!
Dammit I'm going to miss Beltane! I guess Edinburgh's the only place that celebrates it. Pah!

In other news OMG TIM CURRY IS DOING A SHOW IN LONDON IN OCTOBER AND GOING TO GO SEE HIM!!!111ONE. Ahem, yes... I have a slight Tim Curry/Rocky Horror obsession. It should be good though he's an AMAZING actor and it's Monty Python too, which should be right up his street.
